One of England’s most famous ghosts is the wicked Lady Howard, who in a phantom coach made from human bones – the bones of her four late husbands. The skeleton of a dog runs beside the coach. The story goes that each night the coach comes to Oakhampton Castle in Devonshire and the skeleton dog picks a blade of grass from Oakhampton Park to carry back to Lady Howard’s family home. She has to take this journey every night until every blade of grass is picked – that is until the end of the world – as a punishment for murdering her four husbands.

Ghost Sighting Devon Tavistock
Category Devon Ghosts
My aunt has one in her home it has followed her through 3 propertys. It moves things, plays around and has appeared once. The location is Tavistock. From what my aunt tells me I believe it to be a poltergeist.
Most major encounter is my aunt had a oven delivered and was put in by the delivery man / shop worker. He put in the space between the units etc. Then went into the living room to get documentation signed. Both heard a loud crash, when looking at the source which was the kitchen they found the oven in the middle of the room. My aunt said the delivery man went white as a sheet and was quite visably shaking. He said that if it was dragged it would of tore up the lino flooring as it was cut to edge of the units. It must of been lifted.
There have been loads more incidents dating to quite recently.
So the fact there was a outside witness (not known to the family) is pretty good wouldn’t you agree
